RECIPE: Apple, Caramel & Brie Bruschetta

The holiday season is in full swing and as you host or head to a party, bring along this easy and delicious hors d’oeuvre that is sure to impress any guest. Apple, Caramel & Brie Bruschetta features our Dippin’ Stix Sliced Apples with Caramel, just add some spreadable Brie cheese and a French baguette.

What you’ll need:

1 5-pack carton of Dippin’ Stix Sliced Apples & Caramel
1 wheel of spreadable Brie cheese
1 long take & bake French baguette
Cookie sheet & tin foil

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with foil. Slice bread about 1/2″ thick and place on cookie sheet.

3. Spread approximately 1 teaspoon of the Brie cheese on each slice. Top each with 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon caramel from the Dippin’ Stix Sliced Apples & Caramel trays.

4. Bake 10 minutes.

5. Transfer hot hors d’oeuvres to a serving plate and top with an apple slice from the Dippin’ Stix trays. Serve immediately.

For an optional baking method, we also tried baking them 5 minutes, then removing them from the oven, adding the apple slice, then popping the cookie sheet back in the oven for the final 5 minutes. These turned out just as delicious. The bread was a bit more soft after setting and was a teeny bit messier as the moisture from the apple mixed with the caramel and was absorbed by the bread. Both methods were devoured by our staff, a delicious treat either way!
