RECIPE: Apple Wontons

March 10th, 2015 · No Comments

In the mood for a sweet treat? We whipped up some wonderful wontons with apples, caramel, and chocolate chips! These are a great hands-on craft & treat for kids of all ages.

What you’ll need:
12 wonton wrappers
4 trays of Dippin’ Stix Sweet Gala Apples with Caramel
4 Tbsp. mini chocolate chips
1-2 Tbsp. powdered sugar for garnish
1 Tbsp. water for sealing wonton wrappers
Parchment paper

Preheat the oven to 350° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Finely dice the apples from the Dippin’ Stix trays.

Place the wonton wrappers on the baking sheet. Place 1/2 tsp. caramel from the Dippin’ Stix trays in the center of each wonton wrapper. Add 1 tsp. mini chocolate chips. Top with 1 tsp. of diced apples. Be careful not to get them too full!

Wet your finger with the water and wipe it around the perimeter of the wonton. Fold in half diagonally and press around the edges to seal it. (If it is too full, it won’t seal properly or the wrapper might crack). Repeat for all wontons.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until the wonton wrappers are a light golden brown. Cool on the pan for 5 minutes.

Transfer wontons to a serving platter & sprinkle with powdered sugar and drizzle on any extra caramel from the trays. Enjoy!
